Read travel reviews with evidence, context and feeling
A credible review does not have to be enthusiastic. The important question is whether it reflects an independently supported visit and gives context that matters to your trip.
Separate credibility from enjoyment
TripCritics TrustScore measures the evidence behind an eligible review. The experience rating describes how the traveller felt. Positive sentiment, likes, popularity and affiliate payments do not increase the evidence score. That keeps an unhappy traveller鈥檚 supported experience valuable instead of rewarding only praise.
Read the product and the traveller鈥檚 context
Check which property, service, route or activity the review refers to, and when the visit happened. Compare experiences from travellers whose needs resemble yours: family, business, solo, adventure or another relevant style. A service-provider review should not stand in for a review of a specific hotel room or attraction.
Treat small samples as early evidence
One credible review is useful, but it cannot tell you how everyone will feel. TripCritics separates evidence scores from experience ratings and shows distinct reviewer counts and confidence labels. An unrated listing has no verified aggregate yet; it is not automatically poor or excellent.
Add your own moment after the trip
Register, select the actual listing and describe your own experience with the feel-first ratings. Optional comments can explain one concrete detail that another traveller could use. Reviews require an independent declaration and private supporting evidence before approval. Keep sensitive information out of public comments and redact unrelated details from evidence.
