Your account

Registration is for people aged 18 or older. Use accurate account information, keep your credentials private and tell us about suspected unauthorised access. Do not impersonate someone, evade restrictions or register accounts to manipulate reviews. Business and team access is assigned separately; registration does not create admin rights.

Your moments, your rights

You retain ownership of your content. By submitting it, you grant TripCritics a non-exclusive permission to store, reproduce, display and format it as needed to run the service, including its review and moderation features. You must have the rights and permissions required for photos, text and identifiable people you feature. Do not include other people’s private information or upload confidential booking details as public content. Private evidence belongs in the evidence upload, where it is restricted to its owner and authorised moderators.

Honest reviews only

Reviews must describe your own experience. Paid, pressured, fabricated and undisclosed interested-party reviews are prohibited. Do not purchase credibility, coordinate ratings, harass people or post illegal or discriminatory content. We may request evidence, withhold publication, remove content or restrict accounts for violations. You can report published content and appeal a rejected submission. Human moderation and evidence checks reduce abuse; they cannot guarantee that every statement is true.

TrustScore and discovery

TrustScore describes the evidence supporting an eligible review. It is distinct from satisfaction, popularity and contributor XP. Scores can change when evidence or moderation decisions change. Displayed sample destinations and moods are discovery content. A score is not a warranty, accreditation, safety guarantee or professional recommendation.

Bookings and third parties

TripCritics is not currently the seller of travel services. If you follow a booking link, the provider’s terms, final price, availability, payment, cancellation and refund rules apply. We may earn a commission on qualifying affiliate bookings; this does not buy review credibility. Live metasearch feeds and affiliate links are available only where their integrations are active. Compare total costs and conditions before buying. Medical and insurance listings are not medical advice or emergency services.

Social connections

Provider sign-in identifies you; it does not automatically grant posting or import permissions. You choose social preferences separately. Live sharing or importing requires an active, supported connector and the provider’s authorisation. Social providers may limit account types and permissions. A public handle or checked preference does not authorise us to publish to that account.

Service and responsibility

We may change features and act on abuse reports. We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise uninterrupted access or accurate third-party information. You are responsible for your travel decisions. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies or responsibilities that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Contact us about disputes before escalation so we can investigate.

Changes

We will date updates to these terms and seek fresh agreement where required. Ask us to clarify a change or close an account through customer care.
